writing, and how it's so crucial to the "information age." Thanks to the Internet, modern society has access to more information than ever before. But somebody has to write it before it can be shared, and not everyone is an effective writer. The craft of writing is more important than it's ever been, and one that can't be automated. I must admit I was surprised by how little attention was paid to a students' ability to write while I was in high school and especially while I attended college. Rarely did a teacher say let me help you with your writing skills.

A child ability to write should be honed all the way through college. I had a professor say to me once that she was surprised at how poor some of her students writing skills were. What do you expect when theses students get A's on the papers they write? They are being led to believe they do not need to improve their writing abilities.
