Undoubtedly, Internet has managed to work itself into the very core of our everyday living, and while it is true that internet has pulled the distance between family and friends closer, has it also stretched the relationships of us further? How long has it been since you have actually heard the voice of a friend or relative because internet chatting (MSN) has been used in place of it? How many trips to visit friends have been replaced by video conferences? Of course, the internet plays a vital role in other aspects of our life, Using the internet is easy, but using the internet appropriately is a more challenging problem.

The internet makes everyone's lives so much easier. Aside from being able to keep in contact with friends and family, there's also the research aspect. I remember in elementary school, and some of middle school, having to look through encyclopedias, the dictionary, countless books, just to find information on a topic. Now I can go to google, or one of the many other search engines, and find not only the information I need, but most of the time, the book that it came from, so if I need something in more detail, or if I need the bibliography, it's right there. I get to meet new people that I would have never met without the internet. What are the chances of my meeting someone in Australia when I'm in the US? Where else can I play a game of canasta with someone who's 3500 miles away? The internet opens so many doors, for so many people. It's absolutely amazing. I wonder if the person who invented the internet knew that it would spread as it has.

Personally, i do not depend on internet that much in my life. I've grown up well and got the education i needed from college without the IT system.

Nowadays, i use the internet mainly for email communications, forum postings, domestic news, music & media downloads, as well as browsing for stuff infos before i decide to buy them...

As a starry-eyed struggling dreamer Iíve been inspired by the successes of others whose talents may have gone unnoticed without the possibilities of the internet. There are comedians, critics, gardeners, film makers and story tellers (to name a few) posting their lives and their stories for millions to read. Iíve observed and become friends with cancer patients bonding together to fight a horrible disease, soldiers exchanging war stories and lost souls finding each other in this vast world. I would be living a very sheltered and ignorant life without the inspiration the internet has given me over the past few years.

I cannot imagine not having an internet connection. in fact, a few years ago when I didn't, I had to make trips to the library at least 3 times a week to use computers there. With internet service, one can keep in touch with friends and family at a distance, find and research products and services, watch and read local, naional and world news, and be entertained. What did we do before the Internet????

If the internet vanished tomorrow I would have no way to feed myself and my kids! I earn my entire income online, plus use the internet to keep in touch with family and friends, do research, and have fun as well. The internet has become such a part of the majority of peoples' lives that I do not think people could get along well without it.
