Hi Everybody,

You have by now seen the names: admin, Lynn, and ThumperFive planted everywhere. Well it is a testiment on your/our great work that has meant admin and the team had to 'hire' two boosters to become moderators.

To tell you alittle about myself. I live in a very isolated community in Cumbria, England. I care for my mentally ill ex-boyfriend, which gives me loads of time for writing. I tend to be online most of the day and evening (GMT), so please feel free to ask any questions etc, one of us is bound to be able to help.

If your question is about your payment, boosting list etc please ask admin. ThumperFive and I are 'just' boosters.

Lynn

I'm Lauri Jean Crowe from Michigan, single-mon, freelance writer and designer just getting back into the workforce afte a long two year haul with my son Damien's kidney disease. He's just turned 8 and has had childhood nephrotic syndrome/FSGS since he was 2 and is very resistant to treatment. However, after chemotherapy and high dose prednisone he's back doing well and life is on a more even keel.

I prefer to stay at home where I homeschool Damien, and spend as much time as possible with my other son, Donovan who is mildly autistic but attends public school. We're a very creative family and my years of freelance writing and selling my art contribute to a nicely eclectic living.

I'm an avid gardener, and my latest indulgence is sedum rock gardens. I live on 28 acres in a multi-generational home and am thankful to be able to raise my kids surrounded by nature as I was. Nothing quite like drinking your morning tea, looking out the window at deer, rabbit, owls, squirrels and birds just feet outside the glass. Not to mention our three cats.

I run a couple of artist trading card groups on yahoo and have found them highly addictive, and a natural progression from altered books and journals. I have yet to form a blog, but plan to soon. I have a lot to say and am glad I have time to again say it Very Happy

I'm looking forward to sharing my life experiences, as well as learning new things here on the forums and am awaiting my acceptance as a booster.

I admit it, I'm a message board junking and used to spend long afternoons browsing through forums and posting all sorts of interesting and insightful comments...but that was before my son was born. Now, my time on-line is often interupted by tiny hands drumming on the keys while I try to type. I still spend a lot of time on message boards (I'm a host parent and moderator on Parent's Connect) but I spend even more time changing diapers, reading "Goodnight Moon" and smothering my little boy with kisses.

just a quick note - as of today, I've resigned as one of the moderators for this board.

so... please don't send me any PM's - it's likely they won't be seen and you won't get any response back - email Lynn (the other mod) or the admins directly.

see you all on the flip side!

Wink

Hi Lynn,

I am also a new entrant on this forum and I love it. It seems like a great place and the forum boosting is a very great idea. Thank you for helping to keep it safe along with the other moderators. I myself am a moderator at a huge 50,000 member site and it is a very hard job. I bet you have to put alot of effort towards this site and I compliment you on that.

I can tell already, that this is going to be an interesting site to work with.
I go by the name of Crimson in most forums, am in my early 40s, female,
and currently live in South Texas, USA.

I have been going stir crazy, and am ready to go back to work doing something,
but am unable to carry on with my career of 15+ years due to a severe
back injury I suffered in February 2006. I am now limited to work that
can be done at home, being that I must alternately
sit or stand every 15-20 minutes, due to the severe pain.
Makes life very interesting. Smile
But I would like to become a part of your community and make the best
of what life has to offer. I am a true believer in the old saying
"when life gives you lemons, make lemonade !

I can relate. My daughter thinks banging on the keyboard is the most fun ever. Well, since Mommy does it all the time, how can she not? I wish I'd kept my old dinosaur of a laptop for her to play with while I work. Instead, we play a game called "Not for babies." I lose, every time.

I just joined the forum and was wondering if you have any advise regarding the website. I found out about it through craigslist, I'm actually interested in a job which is why I'm interested in knowing what your suggestions are.
