General areas on forums are wonderful. The forum I frequent most has a topic in the general area that is devoted to nothing but pure randomness 
It's something that can help blow off steam after a long day. |

I enjoy reading the posts found in "General" discussion areas of forums. I have noticed on many forums, that the topics people raise, start off innocently but can quickly spiral into a hot topic.
"General" discussion areas also help members get a feel of what their fellow peers are like, their opinions on various topics as well.
