|
|
This is a forum to see if you have ever burnt microwave popcorn. Many people make the mistake of cooking their bag of microwave popcorn because they decide to cook it for the exact amount of time that it says to cook it for on the box or bag.
This is generally a mistake. Usually you can get away with cooking in at approximately 30 seconds less time than it says on the bag. This depends upon what kind of microwave you own. If you don't know exactly for how long to cook your bag of microwave popcorn for try 2 minutes for a smaller bag and 2 minutes and 30 seconds for a larger bag. It usually comes out right this way most of the time.
Take the poll to see how many people are like you. Do you burn your microwave popcorn? True cooking confessions are about to be unveiled... _________________ Shopping, Dating, and More:

| Well, the forum will need to discuss the dilemma posed by the addition of the "popcorn" button on microwaves. This seemingly innocuous aid is often as inaccurate as the "ear-to-the-door" method...or is that just me? Depending on the microwave and, just as likely, the brand of popcorn, you either get too many unpopped kernels or that burnt smell that somehow is impossible to remove from the inside of the microwave. |

Well..you may be one exception. If you have a mic popcorn button you should use it. Just make sure you know what size bag the button is good for.
By the way, I just mainly created this forum for the fun of it. For a good laugh. I figured what the heck. Stupid is good, and sometimes funny. Good luck with your microwave popcorn cooking.
I appreciate the honesty of those who have answered "yes" to this forum as well. I am not the only one. But...when someone told me to cook a big bag of pocorn at 2 min 30 secs I noticed that it was done just right.
I cannot say this will be true for everyone. I intended for this to be a fun discussion. feel free to share your microwave popcorn cooking experience. _________________ Shopping, Dating, and More:

Unfortunately, I have indeed burned microwave popcorn. As a matter of fact, the last time I burnt microwave popcorn it caught on fire and stunk the whole house up for two days... Oops! |

Oh my gosh, yes! Despite my best intentions I burn my microwave popcorn half the time
I wonder if different brands of popcorn cook for different lengths of time. Maybe I get used to cooking OhWell GoodnBaker's corn for four minutes, so when I buy ShowTime popcorn I automatically cook it for the same length of time thinking it will be okay.
What do you think? |
