I am curious, I just got a new dog, a Shetland Sheepdog, his name is Rusty. And I heard a person comment that pets reflect the owners sometimes and vise versa. SO if thats the case, what type of pet do you have and what does that tell about you? I am not sure about my Sheltie, but he is very smart and learns fast and loves to play and is great with my 8 year old son. SO what does that say about me?

Does it have to do with the pets looks? If thats the case, what does it say about people that have pets like frogs or iguanas? Laughing

I own about six different fish that just swim around all day. So what does that say about me? I am not a good swimmer, I actually sink more than I swim. I think people are wrong when they say the pet reflects the owner, it does not hold up for must cases. Usually when people buy a pet it is because it is cute looking or it is "cool."

I have a 3 year old golden retreiver. I can't say he looks like me or my family members. But over the time that he has been with us, it seems that in one way or the other he has picked up certain characteristics from us (e.g. pretending to ignore you, but wanting attention at the same time, or acting cute to get what he wants, gettinh moody) - which is amusing at times. It really hard to describe how he portrays the characteristics, but it is the way in which he interacts with us that seem to bring out these characteristics.

Although there are cases where both owner and dog start to look alike. lol I remember seeing one such photo. It was amazing. Laughing

I have two German Shepherd dogs - one is long-coated and mostly gold with black markings, the other is short coated and mostly black with tan markings

Same breed - but they're opposites to each other. What does that say about me???

Confused
