I can't stand to watchh those shows because they make me so mad. I hate to see what people will do to their pets or what neighbors will allow to be done to animals. What is wrong with people?

These people obviously didn't have a good childhood.
They didn't have pet animals, plus they didn't learn to respect things, to care about them or just some responsibility.

They deserve to be punished. They hurt something for no reason, they pay for it.

People who abuse animals and treat them with cruelty should be treated equally by the society. Action against this criminals should be taken as a priority in our nations...

I was never *that* into animal rights until this past year. After researching the meat industry in America, I realized that you don't have to be an "animal-lover" to care about animal's rights. I became a vegetarian to stop supporting the inhumane treatment of animals in America, and buy my child's meat products from a family farm.

I look at animals in a different light now. If you would stand up for a child who couldn't speak, you should stand up for animals. That doesn't mean you have to take animals into your home, just stick up for them against people who obviously can't distinguish right from wrong/humane from inhumane.

Animal abuse should not be tolerated by ANYONE, but I'm sad to say that people do it every day. Animals cannot speak for themselves. They cannot adequately defend themselves against abusers, and they cannot identify their attacker. An animal abuser is a truly sick individual. An animal abuser is also likely to harm humans as well. Many serial killers start out as animal abusers.
