do you SEO your design / content of your forum
change your urls from
board.com?thread=42&post=432 to board.com/435/53 or even board.com/thread-title-all-seoed/53
also things like showing a different design to robots than you do to users.
and did you notice any difference with SE's ? this intrests me quite a bit _________________ From Dom |

| I personally haven't done this, but I had seen some forums SEOed like this. The one where it says the name of the thread like thisL thread-name-goes-here really helps search engines find your site and offer it to users. Bots work better with SEOed sites like this too. Hope this helped. |

I always make sure my forums are SEO'd properly. (Going by the thread-title-here-####, where #### is the threadID [so perma-links will always work whether I change the rewrite rules or not])
Also, I show a special skin to any and all bots that view my forums. It still offers most of the same content, just without the user specific things (User CP's, Shoutbox [if any], mod's related to users such as ibProArcade, etc)
It really does help search engines traverse your site a lot easier. Also pinging them with site maps helps a lot too |
