I have seen an alarming jump in spam on several of the forums I post on. They are filled with nonsense all geared toward getting a link where peple will se it.
Has anyone else noticed this?
I have one forum where over half of the new posts are spam! |

That's very true. I encountered the same thing. I think it's a good idea to inform the admin of such forum. Spams must be cleared out as soon as possible or else it will multiply. _________________ "Word is not enough to reveal your heart and to describe your love because action speaks louder than word." |

I post on a huge forum, where it seems a team of spammers hit with links to discount shoes on a monthly basis. Doesn't matter what the post is about, they contribute nothing, they'll just post something like "wow" or "agreed" and imbed their link.
It is fairly annoying, but luckily seems to pass after a day or two. |

I think there should be a rule against spam on forums, and I am sure there are on most, but it isn't enforced.
There's a time and place for everything, but I think spam should never be tolerated.
I run several web sites, and I also have a forum that I use with one of them. I know as the admin, I am responsible to remove all spam ASAP, but like all other web mistresses I get very busy, and I appreciate it when someone informs me of any spam they may see. Therefore, I would suggest that you inform the administration of the forum in question because they may not be aware of the situation. |
