I have a cat and a dog now, both of which were given to us through family friends.

Our friend found the cat on his boat with the rest of the litter. We couldn't resist taking one. Her name is Angel, but I don't think I've ever heard anyone call her that. I usually call her Freaky and other people call her Sarge, though I haven't heard much use of that one anymore.

Another friend gave us our small dog because their friend didn't want it anymore. It was actually because they were renovating their house and having our dog and her brother running around everywhere was too much of a hassle. Luckily they didn't own them for too long prior to giving one of them to us. They had named her Sasha and we kept it. She has a handful of nicknames too.

I am a total brat when it comes to the pet issue. I feel about others pets as I do others kids. There lovable as long as they are yours and not mine. Don't get me wrong my dog is my world, period. But others are like the deal breakers. I am the owner of a duplex in which I live in one side and rent out the other, I also have a room mate in my side. I have a 2 year old yorkshire terrier, my tenants daughter and my dog play together and now they want to get one. My answer is hell no!!!! So now we have an ongoing dispute. Crazy.

I used to have two rats, but they recently passed away. Now we just have two dogs.

Tinker: lab/pitt mix
Petey: blue heeler

We also used to foster dogs for a local animal rescue until we learned that they allowed breeders to sell their dogs for profit at their adoption events, claiming they were rescued pure-breeds. That kind of negates the point of a rescue group if you ask me. We have enough unwanted, homeless animals getting put to sleep. Many are fantastic pets who just need a second chance. Try looking up images of the barrels of euthanized animals outside of Animal Shelters. It's unsettling. In my experience, shelter animals make better pets than the ones from breeders. They seem to have a deeper appreciation for life.

Sorry for the rant.

I don't have any pets at the moment. I use to have two hampsters, but they died. Sad I would love to have all kinds of pets. I'm a big animal lover, especially when it comes to cats. Very Happy Hopefully one day I will have several pets.

I have a dog. Cats seem to spread the word that I am available for adoption as they seem to flock here! One just showed up recently and he is wonderful. I have never seen an animal crave attention like he does.

I'd like to get my hands on the people who are abandoning these animals!! Mad

Currently I have one dog: Lexi, a three year old female lab/shepherd mix. I also have three cats: a 9 year old "blue" female, Nikki; a 3 years old black male, Sumo; and a 2 year old grey/white male, Corey. In the past I've had many dogs and cats, as well as peach-front conure parrot, Twist; a sandish skink, Jack; and a guinea pig, Wilbur.

I have one cute little dog. She's a rat terrier but I call her a brat terrier because she's so spoiled Laughing
My sister has two cats that live here now too. So that's three animals, not quite a zoo. I remember when I was younger, my cousin always had so many pets. An iguana, a gecko, rabbits, a bird, dogs, cats, etc. She had a zoo! I was jealous though Smile

I have three cats. they are older (14,12, &10) my 14 yo has kidney disease and my 1 yo may be developing it as well. My 10yo developed a food allergy to all common meat proteins when he was 8 so we have to feed them all a limited ingredient diet with the meat proteins primarily being venison and duck. It is expensive, but he is doing better and it is helped my 12 yo with some of his GI issues. Now it is just a matter of balancing it so that it isn't too protein heavy for the cats with kidney disease.

All that being said, I wouldn't trade them for the world. They are great company and know just when I need company.

I have a rabbit. He is a great pet for me, but I think my 18-month-old son would really like a puppy, because rabbits are not as playful. Unfortunately, we rent an apartment in a building where dogs are not allowed. Maybe, once we buy our own place, we can get a puppy, too.

I have one dog that I got from a Petsmart, he is a hyper active Jack Russel Terrier. Sometimes he can be too hyperactive at midnight.

I have two cats that are orange tabbies about a year, picked these kittens up off the street and took them in and made them mine.

I also have a turtle that I rescued from a dog that tried to kill it so I have a good collection of animals.

I am a pet lover and it seems I am never without some kind of animal living with me. As of now, I have two cats that are sisters named Bailee and Brianna. They are like my kids because they have their own personalities. Brianna talks a lot and Bailee is very quiet unless you pick her up. Pets can be beneficial because they provide companionship and can help relieve stress. I am not sure when I will get more pets, but I know I will.

well...i only have one pet.it's a dog(she).her name is lycia.

Lycia:she is a fox terrier(smooth).she is white with few black spots and her face is black with some brown on her eyes and mouth.she likes very very much the sea.when we go swimming she is like a little baby, all the time in the sea and sometimes she don't want to get out.Lycia is an obedient dog because i used to take her evening lessons of dogs.she won two trophies; one first and one second. The only thing that is very funny that she is terrified of some dogs that are big but sometimes not.

I have a German Shephard/Lab mix dog that is a handful. She is a house dog most of the time and very well trained. Very affectionate and loving. Not destructive at all keeping her indoors so far.
