I do appreciate your idea of posting in different languages, but one should always consider the type of readers they are going to have. It won't be wise to write in Indonesian language in this forum and only one person answering you after a year of your post (If Indonesian users are less in here).

Though, this idea has actually worked at numerous times. e.g. Google's online community Orkut has recently introduced a button in the formatting toolbar, which allows you to type in 'Hindi' (without the help of control panel. Just through a click.) Hindi is India's national language. Actually Orkut has most users that are "Indians." Therefore, it was a wise decision and the tool is widely being used and appreciated by users.

It is always useful to be able to change the language of the forum however when doing this it is very important to consider the visitors to your community and the people you are going to be dealing with. It's all well and good having a forum in French but what use is it if the topic is for English speaking people?

Most forums are in english because most people can read and type in english. When changing the forum language make sure that the majority of your visitors are able to read the language you wish to change it to, otherwise you just wasted your time and may have a loss of visitors.

i think the best idea to make a forum with different languages (english, frensh,spanish,chinesse....) the famous languages. i don't know if there's some CMS Forum that give this opportunity.
If not, personnaly, i see who is the most language speaking by my visitors (French for me) and set it the favorite forum's language.

But, is also other technic: set up on forum (or website) a bot translator and give a bottun to the visitor to choice language, or make it automatically.

Is there any way to make it so whoever is browsing the site can select what language the forum will be for them?
