When I spotted this forum the first thing that came to mind was a radio show I listened to a while back that initially gave me the notion that a forum could be used to profit from. This is the first chance I've had to share it with anyone, but the subject of the show hits right to point of this subject.
The radio show is done by Jeremy Schoemaker...aka shoemoney. On June 13, 2006 he had forum expert Lee Dodd on his show Net Income. Shoemoney and Mr. Dodd spent most of the time discussing how he had been able to consitantly earn from the forums he owned. It's a heck of good show and should interest anyone interested in monetizing a forum.
