One of my paid regular jobs usually takes me an hour to draft and an hour to tidy up and off it goes. 1,200 words, no problem.
Last week I was doing a spec feature and it took me over 3 days. 600 words it finished up at and I was in pain from start to finish.
And, I just couldn't leave it alone. I was pick, pick, pick, the damn thing was like a spot.
It was the worst thing I've ever done in the production sense, but it felt great to get it out and on paper and really mean something.
If it doesn't get published I'll be gutted |
First of all Hello there Dolly, and wow 1200 words in an hour. Thats impressive. When I was taking a class in college my instructor asked me to write 1500 words and it took me forever. You must be a fast writer or something. By the way what topics do you write on?

Forums always facinates me because they offer a unique oppertunity to discuss and share information particular to some specific subject. I think it is the only medium which offers counter strikes from both writers and viewers. other ways like web sites or blogs only offers one side view of information (normally writer's view).
So it's always a fun posting to forums and if it paid then I love it more than any other home based job. |

And boy is he thrilled!
Now if we can just learn the ropes in order to become a pro at this, c'mon, hints anybody?
I posted my first post as a post in this forum, but see it nowhere.
This one goes out as a reply, and I should be able to see it somewhere.
Next post, interests and passions!

Hi everyone
I am a newbie to this forum, not to the world of writing, though. Let me introduce myself. I am a Researcher (scientifically speaking) working in the beautiful LAND OF THE RISING SUN, Japan. I am on the net almost all the time, researching this or that on the net. Ofcourse most of my researching would centre around my scientific work. But I guess you will understand that too much study is too bad. Most of the PhDs are considered insane, talking to themselves, talking about irrelevant, non-understandable stuffs. But I dare to be different. I am totally sane and down to earth. Is it because I take off every 30 minutes from my job to relax and refresh my mind/ soul? May be. I stumbled upon this forum by chance and thought "wow!! It would be a good change to meet different people with different mindsets". I was also looking for a profitable way of using the internet, ofcourse without any upfront fees or service charges. This forum looks tailor made for people like me who want to take breaks from their regular daily routine. So here I am, hoping to enjoy sharing my views on this forum.
See you more often. Good day _________________ Do all you can, in a PERFECT WAY, every day |

Since most people seem to be doing their introductions in this thread, rather then creating their own, I figured I would jump on that bandwagon and do the same.
Like alot of people, I stumbled across this site via craigslist. Now this isn't the first time I have come across this site on there. I actually found it quite a few months ago, but at the time, did not think it would be worth it. However, after coming across it again and re-examining the site, it seems like something alot of people are interested in, and something that I can actually do in my spare time.
I spend alot of time on graphic related forums. In fact, I moderate on one of the largest IPB forums on the internet, if I am not mistaking. I am also a site administrator on another up and coming forum/website as well. Along with those two sites, I do tend to jump around on various forums around the internet, and am always in search of new ones that spark my interest.
I am looking forward to seeing where this opportunity takes me, after all, theres nothing wrong with a new adventure, even if its an adventure in the world wide web.

| Hi, everyone. I read someone's post below asking about a paypal account. Paypal is easy and free for those wishing to register an account. Once you sign up at www.paypal.com you can safely give your email address to anyone and they can pay into your account. You can then transfer money to and from your paypal account and your bank account. It makes paying for things purchased on e-bay and other Internet sites a snap, and it makes it simple to get paid by Internet employers as well. Good luck! |

This is brilliant isnt it? there is a part of me that thinks this is a little... "wrong"... but another thinks... why not. I have been on plenty of sites that were cool as can be, but could have used a little boost for sure.
Well.. my two cents... i love to chime in on forums.. and well.. who DOESN'T need a little extra play money! _________________ Never underestimate the power of denial...

Hi Everyone
I am so happy that something like this comes along. Christmas is almost here and this is a perfect time for me to start working on posting assignments and earning some extra cash if I get accepted.
I also have experienced of posting other forums that I like such as Prince.org and Housequake. I am such a huge Prince fan that at times I literally spent like 8 hours on the board. Too bad I dont get pay posting in those forums lol.
Well I hope to meet some new people on here.
Take care. |

| Thanks admin, most probably you are aware that I?m new around and I?m willing to start as soon as you have opening. However, there are a few things I hope will clear up as we go along, because I still don?t know what style of writing is acceptable, although when I see what others are doing I?ll get a better idea. I don?t know if I?m doing the right thing or not, but this is supposed to be a demonstration to show you my writing style so that you can judged whether I can meet your requirement or not. For the remaining four samples I?ll try to participate in some of the postings in this forum. Thanks and I?ll be looking forward to hearing from you. |

Hi!
Cherel here from Germany. I am very happy to join this forum. It is because, I spend almost the whole day in computer gaining nothing.. I mean, it adds my knowledge but not my income. It also enhances my ability to write in ENGLISH. You know, I am a Filipina, and we speak English, but now I am in Germany, I seldom speak English because they have German language. So I find that this is one way of getting through still in English language.

I love to visit forums, and I often times contribute a post of my own either to elaborate on a particular subject or to question the views of a particular person. The thought of getting paid to interact with a community of people is especially appealing. I sincerely hope the administrators of this website find my efforts worthy, for I very much would like to become a part of this team! _________________ For the latest international happenings visit www.bloggernews.net.

I'm curious how long it will be before newspapers become obsolete, and all news may be found via the internet. Personally, I much rather would read about a particular topic written by a "lay-person" as opposed to some fancy, schmancy, biased (and often censored) journalist. _________________ For the latest international happenings visit www.bloggernews.net.

If the administration of this website finds my work appealing, I plan on starting a forum for one of the most evolving games in the world...fantasy sports. Within this realm of entertainment, every individual considers themself an expert, and justifiably so, for many people are sports fanatics. There are however, many people whom have just begun to explore this world of fantasy. Naturally, these people could use some direction to better their chances of finishing at the top in their respective games. I intend to offer this help, and I'll invite anybody that feels they can do much the same.
Cheers to my new Fantasy Sports Forum...hopefully! _________________ For the latest international happenings visit www.bloggernews.net.

I currently have an account with Paypal, and I've never encountered a problem with their services. The sign-up process wasn't painful, nor are their methods of dealing with employers and account holders. I'm pleased to find out that this website uses their services when paying contributors. _________________ For the latest international happenings visit www.bloggernews.net.
