I think this is wonderful, i spend a lot of time in forums anyway, so i might as well get paid for it. Craig's list may have finally come through for me after a streak of scam jobs. i started to think that all the ETC jobs were scams. Alas. But, maybe I'm wrong and this will turn out great. any posters here who have a success story?

This is an intriguing idea, because I've seen a lot of "ghost town" forums. They start with a whimper, twitch for a while, and then they die. You need a small group of active posters before your forum can evolve into a vibrant community.

I think I'd like to help encourage forums to grow and become active communities.

I think this is a great opportunity. I enjoy writing; now I have a chance to get paid for what I enjoy doing. Although I won't get rich doing this, it will definitely help to pay some of my bills. I can't wait to get started!

I'm also enjoying this forum. I think it's great that we're all becoming acquainted with this site at the same time. It seems easy to navigate, and I find the layout encourages you to view the different areas. Based on what I've seen so far, I wish I'd found this site much sooner. I guess it's never too late to get started.

Wow- when I first looked into this, I thought it must have been a joke. But as I looked more into it I realized that this is quite possibly the most kick-ass thing I have seen in a while. Getting paid to post of Forums, this seems like the job for me. Laughing

I double-checked the site and verified that I read correctly that we would get paid for posting in the forums. I wanted to ensure I hadn't read too quickly and had gotten confused. It's actually true. We will get paid for posting. Based on what I've seen so far, there are various topics available. That's very encouraging.

Not only will we meet a lot of new people in the forums, but there's also a monetary reward. It's like having fun and getting paid to do so. What can be better than that? Wink

Considering this is Independence Day, I can understand why it's so quiet in here. I'm listening to some of the fireworks going off outside. The explosions have been sporadic throughout the day, but now they're beginning to intensify. I can only imagine the excitement of the folks who've been wanting the sun to go down, so they can see the beauty of the firworks under the dark skies. They only have a few hours to wait, and then the exciting moment will be here.

Hi,

I am really interested in finding out more about this service. It sounds like fun - if anyone has already begun working or knows someone who has, do you usually get assigned topics that are pretty compatible with your list of interests/areas of expertise? I don't mind getting assigned something new - shake things up a little! Just wondering what your experience has been.

Hi there,
I second your comment. Personally, I've never actually posted via a booster service, so I wonder how the topics are allocated and such. It would be great to have assignments compatible with our interests, but I also certainly agree that a new topic assigned would be kinda cool. Shocked I do have that geekyness streak in me, so just researching and learning about what I'd write would be most interesting I'm sure.

Hiya,
This is actually only my second post, but yep... being Independence Day would get everyone out and about, I'm sure. I certainly hope everyone enjoys, and stays safe. I've relocated recently, and well, I know of the whole "not to be lit at home" fireworks, which people still light at home and all. Different city, so... I think I'm enjoying the quiet time. Happy 4th to ALL!!!!! Very Happy

If you are doing something you love, does full-time ever truly feel like full-time work?

Well... yes. When I quit the day job to write full time, I very quickly learned that writing for 8 hours a day was just as drudge-like as anything else I'd ever done for a paycheck. But! Ya still gotta do it.

The job fulfillment is much greater, though. When I finish a piece, I'm a lot prouder and happier than any project at any day job I've ever held. And I can work from anywhere, rather than from a cubicle at an office. And because it's writing, there's more of a play component than there was at the day job. And I can work 1.5 hour on and .5 hour off all day instead of 4 hours straight before lunch.

But it is still work. Which was a real epiphany, let me tell you!

Hi there,
I like your post, and agree with you. I write, myself, and I've made various attempts to sit for at least a 3-5 hour writing regiment... it's tough. It's very true, though, that the "play component" mentioned is there, and that is certainly a perk of the craft. Right now my regiment is more along the lines of page numbers. I've tried hours, and just the thought, whether in hindsight or not, whether I have a clock or watch anywhere near me, is too frustrating to actually get anything done.

Happy 4th of July! Cheers!

Yes, I agree that a great opportunity to gain monetary reward for just posting in the forums about particular subjects or interest is oustanding. The topics available for discussion are interesting in developing an ongoing dialogue - that is a very good thing.

I think I am going to enjoy it around here.

I think opportunities like this, for those of us who can't seem to tear ourselves away from the internet for more than 5 minutes, is wonderful. Being able to make more money in ways in which you actually like to do it? Who would have thunk it? Very Happy

I still believe that there are many things out there for aspiring writers that can supplement anyone's income, you just really need to be patient in looking for it, and to obviously do things according to what YOU want to do. If it's not paying enough for the time you put into it, then don't do it! But if it's something you feel good about, don't let anyone yuck up your WOW!

I applied and waited 48 hours, as instructed, but I did not receive a response. I decided to return and read the instructions again. I found that I was to post five times in this forum, so I'm completing that task now. I move and travel quite a bit for work, so I'm glad to find work opportunities that are flexible and mobile!

Isn't exactly what I'd call the cash paid out for thoughtful posts.

I'd call it a huge motivator and a way to write for actual earnings.

I'm sold on the idea, if I can just get three more posts onto this forum!

I read a man's reply, saying he did not get a response 48 hours after applying to be a writer.

Neither did I.

I did post five times, but perhaps I did it on another forum accidentally.

So, here I am on post three of the application process.

Hoo-rah.

I am curious as to how much publicity this site generates for it's clients.

I understand the principle that tag words and activity surrounding a certain product or company results in that product/company being at the top of a search engine's results.

But, I wonder if the search leads them here or to the person's own website.

Oh well, this is post four.
Guess I'll find out for myself soon enough.

Cheers!
