I use to rely on the Internet alot and found that it was much more productive to enjoy everyday life things too. I do use it alot as Ia m a web designer but I do enjoy life off it too. |

I was just thinking of preinternet life this morning when I heard that Kid rock "All Summer Long" song playing on the radio. Theres a line about it being 1989 and having no internet, believe it or not, life was fine pre internet. |

| In my opinion, "boring" is just a relative term. If you are bored at any point in time, it's because you are comparing that moment to a better point in time in which you were doing something fun or exciting. In the situation you are proposing, I think we would have survived just fine if we were unaware of what crazy inventions and technologies were in the future. In 10 or 20 years we may look back on the Internet and TV and wonder how WE ever avoided a death from boredom, when it clearly is perfectly fine right now. |

Life would not be boring without computer or internet, but we tend to think that cause we are using it at the moment. People have forgotten what is outside of their house, they don't go to explore nature much anymore and have fun outside.
Even less people would die each year when people would do something else useful than using computer or internet. |

Hehe, I have actually tried to think about this once and then, but it's just so hard to imagine. I grew up with the internet and all that stuff available and use it a lot so not having it would just be awful...
I do think we can rest assured it'll stay for some time to come .
Yours,
Rufa |

Well, the internet has given us a better form of communication, which is very nice, but there's bad things about the internet, like vulnerabilities. People lose money on the internet if they're not safe.
If the internet was gone, there would be positive and negative effects.
In my opinion, I think the internet has brought the people of the world closer to each other. |

Well, as many people have said : "The internet gave us a better form of communication".
Not to say that REMOVING the internet is impossible Unless something really HUGE happens
But if that happened it would be pretty bad. Many people earn money online.
The internet is really important for banks and other huge "nuts" |

| It's not that hard to imagine. 15 years ago most people, at least where i live, didn't had a computer or internet. Even without them, we had fun doing other things. I'm a bit sad, because kids this days will never know how was our life without a computer. |

| I would say life without computers or internet would be less productive then we are right now. Most companies are ran with computers, such as alot of farming is now. |

| Yeah life before the internet and what not was completely fine, if not more fun and productive then what it is now a days. Alot of people rely to much on their computer/internet to have some kind of fun, go out and do something with your free time live it up people. After all you only live once. |

| Considering the fact I have to use computers for my daily jobs, I don't know what I would do without them. Lord knows I can't do manual labor :P |

I'm in the same situation. Everyday i need to work with them, since it's the only way to do my tasks. A life without computers and internet, would be awkward. |

It's not that hard to imagine. When I was growing up, people didn't have computers in their homes and there was no Internet. It wasn't that long ago when homework was done with a pencil and paper and the dictionary was your spellcheck.
This reminds me of a conversation I had with my 20-year-old niece. She just couldn't grasp the concept that after the 11:00 news, in my day, the national anthem played and then the TV went off. There was nothing. If you woke up in the middle of the night, you had to read a book or listen to the radio. The TV just didn't work after a certain hour. That blew her mind! |
