| We all would ultimately love to work at home all our lives, however this may be easier said than done. For me it seems like what works best for me is doing a little work for one site and a few others rather than focusing primarily on one. I really think this is the recipe for success, what are your thoughts? |

| It just appears that most websites will not allow a living but a good part time earning, so if you add small earnings to other small earning you could probably get a good chunk of money. |

| I agree. A mix of different at-home gigs in a variety of venues is optimal. |

| Well, Although I would love to work part-time from home, I would certainly not be tempted to go solely on this solution. I would miss the social network of colleagues a lot. A job is more than work. |

Finding a decent stay-at-home job is getting to be arduous. I have been looking for a few months now, and I have yet to find something concrete. A lot of these data entry jobs are scams though, so make sure to google and research before starting any new endeavor.
I think online jobs are not a bad way to earn some cash for college students/ part-time workers, especially if you like to write and have free time amongst your priorities. |

They are also not a bad source of income for educated people who live in much less expensive economies. I hope to find my way past the avalanche of scams and locate a few opportunities which really pay (however modestly). Then, where possible and appropriate, I'll get friends in West Bengal, India involved. |

I think you're right in your key to success. I try and have different projects going on, and if I only have one main project at the time then I try and make sure that I have so creative writing tasks or that I have some writing contests to enter. Variety is the key. It stops the creative juices drying up and allows you to give the best of your writing to your clients and to yourself. It's great to produce something that you can be really proud of. |

I prefer working at home myself due to situations that I have going on but there are many sites that are free to make money doing it.
I wish I can say what all of the sites that I recommend but for now, you can actually find them on your own in your own search engine that you prefer.
I just got into freelance writing and going to get into translations later on. |

| I stay at home with the kids, (we have four) my husband is military so me having a job outside the home is not possible. I enjoy writing, have two novels that I am currently working on so I try to find things online that I can do that deal with writing and I can get paid for. It does help out to pay for the things the kids want to do. Good luck finding something. |

| I like the idea of working at home, though I'd need to be able to do a number of things to keep myself interested in what I was doing. Thus, working for several different websites (blogs, forums, whatever's out there that winds up working for me) would be ideal, on top of writing novels. |

I've been working at home for over a year now to great success. Here are a couple of tips from an old pro:
1. Don't invest all your energy to just one site cz you're screwed if it goes bust.
2. Keep looking.
3. Don't say no to projects. If it's too much for you, outsource, and share the profit.
4. Manage your time well. Don't sleep all day. You'll often find yourself dilly-dallying and making friends with Google, rather than doing any actual work.
Hope these help! |

That is spot on. The internet is such a dynamic place that sites can disappear in an instant, even if they seemed quite successful. There's nothing wrong in concentrating your effort on the sites that make you the most money, but you should always keep one eye on the future and be checking out other potential opportunities as well. It's just good business sense. |

I want to do more home-based jobs such as this, but sadly there aren't much available offers in our area. I'm after the paid survey sites but they mostly just look for panel members from the US or UK... |

| I prefer to work from home. For several personal reasons, I prefer to make a living within the peaceful comforts of home. However, this is not without its challenges. First, it is not that easy to get a project that really lasts and pays you well. Second, the biggest problem is motivation. Third, working at home is full of distractions from pets, kids, family members, search engines, emails and so on. But, in spite of its challenges, I am still eager to make it big online. Other people have done it; so why not I? |

Currently, I'm in a situation where the only way I can make ends meet and not go crazy is to start some type of home-business venture. I moved across 5 states to be closer to my aging parents recently thinking I would not have a problem getting a job--WRONG! As far as acquiring income goes, I started with just plans A, B, C, and D--well now I'm on plan W
Anyway, I'm still hopeful and feeling blessed. I'm also grateful there are online opportunities out there and hope I can take advantage of them using my own knowledge and skills. I plan on creating my own website--I've been trained to do so in the past, but never considered constructing one for business purposes until now. I wonder how many of you are in the same boat. Any advice is appreciated. |
