| Well, I must agree. It's so much important doing what you truly love than doing something you dislike just for the sake of money. If you put your mind to it, you'll always find a way to earn money from those things you are so passionate about. We must ask ourselves what is most important. Happiness or money?! |

| If you don't like what you are doing, then you will never do your best at it. You may do the work but your heart will not be in it and you will not do your best work. I would much rather do something that I truly love to do rather than do something I don't like to do just for the money. Life is too short to be miserable. I have learned that the hard way. So I will do what I like and if I make good money at it, fine. If not, at least I will still be enjoying what I am doing. |

It really depends on the circumstances.
If I am in dire need of money, then I guess I have to start somewhere... but from that spot I can continue to look for something that is more mentally stimulating and fulfilling for me.
If I am in a job that I absolutely love... if the money is not what I want but I can deal with it then I am most likely going to stay...
While I do not think that money is everything, we all need it... and it would be irresponsible if what we are making is not enough to at least sustain our families in what they need (not want but really need like food and shelter). |

I have recently come to realize that in whatever one does, choices are available. You can either accept what you are doing (and therefore just do it), you can complain about what you are doing (which does nothing more that create drama), or you can change what you're doing. When you accept what you're doing, you can either just do it, enjoy it, or be enthusiastic about it. If you cannot do one of these things, it's best to do something else--just cut your losses and call it a day.
Does this make sense? Very few people actually enjoy their job AND make enough money at it to survive. I think the key is to find something about your current job that makes it fun--maybe it's the people that you work with, lunch breaks, or one particular aspect that you can consider "a reward" for doing what you do. For example: I work in a bakery part-time and I absolute love to squeegy the floor at the end of my shift. I know it's pretty lame, but it works for me!
This mentality has helped me quite a bit over the last few months. The question is: Can I keep doing it? |

We make choices everyday rather we think about it or not. Everyday we dress ourselves by making a choice from the clothes we have in the closet. We make a choice to go to the left rather than the right.
I have made choices about resigning from jobs based on what the job has to offer me. I have had jobs that I thought were a total waste of my time because I did not learn any new skills and the skills I had when I came there are lost now. Sometimes the choice I made to leave a great paying job was hard but I had to make a choice because I could not spend one more day in a great paying job that turned my brain to apple sauce. |

| I know about everyone else but happiness will not pay my bills lol. Sometimes you have to sacrifice happiness for money. I am sure I would be much happier working with the public however until I finish school I have to be stuck working in manufacturing. I have two children to support and although I would be much happier-- much healthier for them, I still have to feed them and cloth them. So until I hit the lottery or finish my degree-which ever comes first lol, I will have to be satisfied with bill money instead of happiness. |
